About Us
TrapezoidCalculator.com began with a simple goal: remove the friction from trapezoid problems—whether you’re solving for area, perimeter, height, or angles—without juggling unit conversions or clunky forms.
So we built a unit-aware calculator that accepts metric and imperial (including mixed inputs like ft/in or m/cm), keeps units consistent across results, and supports multiple workflows: enter any three of (bases, height, area) to get the fourth; compute perimeter using the median; or let the angle helper fill in the fourth interior angle automatically.
What we care about
- Accuracy & clarity. Formulas are explicit (
A = (a + b)/2 × h,P = c + d + 2m), and results update instantly as you change units. - Privacy by default. No account required to calculate. We keep data collection minimal and transparent.
- Speed & accessibility. Mobile-first UI, keyboard-friendly inputs, readable typography, and sensible focus states.
- Inclusivity in definitions. We support common classroom conventions (inclusive vs. exclusive trapezoid) while focusing on base/height relationships that work either way.
What’s next
- Diagonal and median solvers with step-by-step derivations
- Optional diagram overlays and export (PNG/SVG)
- Saved scenarios and shareable links
- More unit presets and rounding controls
- Dark mode and improved screen-reader cues
